Q. Q. & Song
Essay Basics
HW: RJ 6.1 Read for 20-30 minutes. Book projects due Friday.
We started off 6th period with Ms. Nakada telling us to take out our agendas. Breyden then reads his blog and picks me. Then, a few people asked questions about the book project as Ms. Nakada answers the questions. She asks that we take out our English notebooks. We write the quote of the week: "Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing." Scout Finch. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. We go over the questions of the week: Do you read banned books? We discuss the lack of opportunities in other countries that we have and that they don't. We talk about banned books which are books that aren't looked at well because they go into controversy that people are afraid to talk about. We review the lyrics to "Mr. Roboto" by the band Styx. We discuss the meaning of the song and the favorite lyric. We then talk about Step-Up to Writing.
