HW RJ 5.1 Read/ record for 20-30 mins
First, we came in and wrote our agendas. Second, we wrote the Quote of the Week and Question of the Week. We talked about the quote from The Outsiders that if we don't open our heart/ourself up then we can never get heartbroken, and then we discuss how should our parents handle a bad report card. Third, we heard the song of the week, "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman and discussed about the meaning of the song. Tracy's life was rough, and it wasn't easy for her. After that, we were going to discuss what our favorite lyric was, but we got off track. Then, we set up our journals for this week's reading journals. Last, we read all the way to the end of the period and went home.
